About SPUD

"The Angry Spud" was created back in 2016 with the vision of creating videos for fun. If an interesting idea comes to mind I capture it by creating a video! I have done everything from reaction videos to language videos, to vlogs and more!

Where did the name come from you may ask?

I previously had a channel called "Othello and the Green Jello" where I created several videos. Unfortunately, it got deleted and I lost all of my work. A year later while lying in bed one night, I thought, "I want to make a YouTube channel again." So I began to ponder names. I remembered that PewDiePie created his name by combining words that he liked so I decided to try it out. I combined my favorite food (potatoes) with the look I always have on my face, Angry! When I put that together, "The Angry Spud" sounded perfect! Plus, with my bald head I look like an Idaho potato!

INTERESTING FACTS

  • From a young age, I have been passionate about foreign languages and video editing. The creative side of me took over on most occasions. On top of that, I have always been goal-oriented and highly motivated! (High speed - low drag).

  • I started editing videos around the age of 10 but did not start to perfect my skills until around the age of 15. I directed, starred in, and produced my first 'mini-movie' in high school as a freshman in my digital video editing class. Watch the movie here!

  • I found a love for foreign languages around the age of 9. My brother and I also created our own language when we were younger, but I have no clue what it's called, we just speak it!

  • I grew up playing sports including football, track & field, basketball, and I occasionally snowboarded. I found a love for tennis as I got older!

  • I've won numerous awards ranging from local to state to national levels for academics and athletics. I also was blessed with the opportunity to play on the collegiate level (football and track).

  • I was a police officer and served in the US Army & US Air Force for 8 years. I have a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice: Homeland Security and have completely doctoral coursework.
